Technology & Reality

This was one of my favourite units. In this unit, we had to create 5 pictures that could not exist in reality, but only made possible with technology (photoshop). My theme for this project was Fairies Among Us. I thought of locations that fairies might actually exist, then I looked for pictures of people as stock pictures. These people had to not only dress well (costume, hair, look fairy-like), but also be in the right pose to fit into the picture. Then I blended the two, and made it seem like one picture instead of 2. I added other effects to enhance the picture, and the result is something that looks like it could realistically exist, but you know it can't.
